Preparatory School Building Development
In April 2015, Edgbaston High School embarked on a new building programme to enhance the Preparatory department.
The work comprised a two storey extension to both the front and rear of the school. On the ground floor the library was extended and the reception area extended and refurbished. Internal changes have provided dedicated art, design and exhibition space, a new medical room, a meeting room, visitors space, office space, a larger staff room and lifts to the first floor.
Mrs Sally Hartley, Head of the Preparatory School, said: "The provision of a new Art Room, housed on the first floor of the extension with a glass frontage, provides a light and airy environment to allow the girls to extend their skills.
"The new building has also provided more staff work space as well as some much-needed storage space," she adds.
This project was successfully completed in the summer of 2016.
