Announcing the Head Girl Elect

10 March 2017

Edgbaston High School is delighted to announce Holly M as the Head Girl elect for the academic year 2017-18.

Holly joined EHS from St Laurence Church Junior School, as a pupil in Year 7. Now in Year 12 she is studying Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Maths and is an active member of the school’s musical community, playing flute and singing in the Chamber Choir.

Selection of the Head Girl is a key feature of the Senior School year and results are eagerly anticipated. The rigorous election process begins with written applications, followed by interviews with Senior staff and the current Head Girl and Deputies. Shortlisted girls are required to give a speech to the whole school and, finally, votes given by pupils in Year 11 and the Sixth Form, and staff.

Many congratulations to Holly on her achievement! The Deputy Head Girls elect will be announced in next week’s Friday Headlines.
