Birmingham University lecture for Sixth Form Classicists

On Saturday 10 March, Classicists in Year 12 attended a series of lectures and workshops at Birmingham University organised by Mrs McAlister and the Birmingham Midlands Classical Association.
The lectures focused on topics which Year 12 are currently studying as part of their A Level courses in Latin, Classical Greek and Classical Civilisation and included general interest lectures on Greek Religion and Athenian Democracy. Girls were also able to participate in Latin and Classical Greek language masterclasses to help prepare them for their forthcoming examinations.
A special thanks goes to Mrs Rees who delivered a lecture on Greek Theatre. The students thoroughly enjoyed the day and enriched their understanding of the classical world.
