Gabriel's Big Break

Preparatory

08 December 2017

Year 2 girls gave a stunning performance of the musical Nativity ‘Gabriel’s Big Break’ as part of our Christmas celebrations.

The story is based around the angels. When they hear that God has a list of very important jobs that need doing, all the angels are keen to be given the responsibility of carrying them out, eager to prove what they’re made of. However, unfortunate mishaps befall the two leading contenders and a young angel, Gabriel, has the chance to shine. With so much to do to prepare for the arrival of a special baby, can Gabriel pull it off and prove worthy of God’s trust?

There was much singing and dancing, even from the camels, and the girls certainly proved worthy of the task set them by their teachers. They had learnt many words for the performance and the standard of singing was excellent. The girls also clearly understood the humour in the script and their comic timing was exemplary.

The audience of parents and guests thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon of high quality entertainment and were full of praise for the girls and Year 2 and Music Staff. Well done to all.
