Please Welcome The New Leadership Team

11 March 2016

Over the course of the last week we announced Year 12 student Bethany Lucas as the Head Girl Elect for the academic year 2016-17. We are delighted to now announce the full leadership line-up including our new Deputy Head Girls.

Bethany Lucas is joined by Beatrice Kessedjian and Malala Yousafzai who will take on the role of Deputy Head Girls.

Bethany has been a pupil at EHS since 2011 when she joined Year 7 from Blue Coat School. She is currently studying English Literature, Religious Studies, Drama and History, and would like to study Theology at university.

Beatrice joined EHS Prep in Year 5 and would like to pursue a career in Teaching once her current studies of Psychology, French and Music are complete.

Malala came to EHS in 2013 from Pakistan and currently studies History, Economics, Mathematics and Religious Studies. She would like to attend university to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

The voting and announcement of the Head and Deputy Head Girls elect is a key feature of the Senior School year. The process is rigorous: each year, girls in Year 12 are invited to apply in writing for the role of Head Girl; this is followed by a process of short-listing, a round of interviews, a presentation to the whole of Senior School and, finally, votes given by pupils in Year 11, the Sixth Form and staff.

Bethany, Beatrice and Malala will take up their new roles officially when they return to School following AS Level examinations. Our warmest congratulations to all three girls!
