Year 13 hone their study skills

20 January 2017

On Wednesday afternoon Year 13 had a study skills workshop run by Elevate Education. The title of the session was ‘Memory and Mnemonics’ and was aimed at teaching the girls high level memory skills and learning techniques.

This was also an opportunity for girls to reflect on their revision techniques after their mocks and think what additional skills they might employ in the run up to their summer exams.

The study skills workshop was designed to achieve behavioural change, helping the girls understand what they need to do in their study but also getting them to actually use and apply the skills they had learned.

This workshop is one example of the support offered to girls in the Sixth Form and complements the wider Sixth Form provision which couples a balanced academic curriculum alongside a tutorial and enrichment programme.
