Mud, glorious mud!

07 April 2017

Year 4 girls and staff travelled to the Manor Adventure run Culmington Manor for a residential trip.  For many girls this was their first experience of staying away from home which is an adventure in itself.

On arrival at the centre, having left school at lunch time, the girls settled into their rooms and then began their rota of activities. These included a maze, obstacle course, wide games, problem-solving team work activities, a scavenger hunt and, of course, the confidence course. The other main activity was getting used to being muddy which featured in all elements of the trip.

The confidence course proved to be a favourite with most of the girls because of the challenge and the feeling of achievement they gained from having tackled it.

On the second day, the whole group set off to Carding Mill Valley for the hill walk which proved to be very popular. This gave another feeling of success as they all completed the four mile walk whilst taking in the beautiful views.

They returned on Friday afternoon with stories to tell and a bag full of muddy clothes.
