Writing competition now open

27 January 2017

The English department is looking for entries for the Martin Wills Annual Writing Awards. The competition is open to young people writing fact or fiction pieces on the subject of horseracing.

The Martin Wills Memorial Trust is a UK-registered charity which promotes annual awards for fine writing by young people around a horseracing theme. The Trust commemorates Martin Wills, a journalist and amateur jockey, who died in 1992, aged 39.

The 2017 Awards are now open and will close on Tuesday 28 February 2017. All ages are welcome to enter. Please see Mr Wilkins, Head of English, for details.
