Pop Bang Colour

26 May 2017

As part of an enrichment programme in the Prep department, Year 6 girls experienced a day of art with a difference! Ian Cook from Pop Bang Colour delivered a workshop which involved using toy cars and wheels to create images.

This novel approach has been a real success and Ian has worked with many different car companies, including Jaguar Land Rover, often producing work on a large scale. He created a portrait of Lewis Hamilton which featured on a building in London and has recently broken the world record for the largest piece of art work produced using a real car!

Girls were encouraged to be creative and imaginative and had the opportunity to produce colour wheels, portraits, cityscapes and images of cars in this unique style. It was a very enjoyable day and the Art department certainly witnessed an explosion of ‘Pop Bang Colour’.
