07 September 2018

Wednesday morning saw the school come back to life as the girls returned with many stories of their holiday exploits.  They were full of enthusiasm to see each other and ready to start work.  Our newly appointed Prefects and House Captains were on hand to help them find their way to their new classrooms and girls from Nursery to Year 6 were soon settled.

In our first assembly in Prep we welcomed all new girls and members of staff and we welcomed back members of our Prep community who have re-joined us.  We also congratulated Miss Dugdale who was married in the holiday and is now Mrs Pavlovic, and Mrs Humble and Mrs Goodman who both gave birth to baby girls during the holiday.

We awarded badges to our Year 6 girls for their posts of responsibility for the year ahead.  We are looking forward to working with them all and to hearing their ideas for new initiatives.  We hope they will enjoy their roles as Prefects, House and PE Captains, Monitors with specific responsibilities and Librarians. The younger girls also know that they can rely on help from our senior Prep pupils.  We wish them all well and offer our congratulations to Lara and Eleanor our Head and Deputy Head girls.

We have started the school year with a reminder of our Behaviour Code focused on manners, respect and responsibility and our rule of the week was to be kind to each other.  There are many events and trips for the girls to look forward to and parents can find out more about the year ahead at our Information Evenings next week.

We look forward to welcoming parents next week and to all events in the busy term ahead.

Head of Preparatory School
