Students have a taste of Sixth Form
17 February 2017
On Tuesday 14 February, Year 11 girls were able to experience a day at EHS Sixth Form. The girls spent the day visiting Sixth Form lessons in the subjects they are considering for A-level. They found this a very useful experience, with many girls commenting that the taster had helped many to make up their minds about their final A-level choices ahead of the joining Sixth Form.
The girls spent some time in the Sixth Form common room at break when they were treated to the EHS ‘coffee and cakes’ which is a Sixth Form tradition.
We were delighted to be joined once again by personal stylist and fashion blogger Beth Goodhram (pictured). Beth, who has been a stylist for many years, working with top fashion names and more recently guest presenting on QVC, talked to the girls about how to style a smart business suit in preparation for the dress code that applies once girls reach Year 12.
At lunchtime, the next door Botanical Gardens saw an influx of girls at lunchtime when the students exercised the Sixth Form privilege of signing out for a little bit of freedom!
All Year 11 students agreed that the day was a very useful experience in giving them insight into life at EHS Sixth Form. We look forward to seeing what subject choices the girls make.
