Students shine at talent show

25 November 2016

On Friday 18 November, girls from Senior School gathered in the Octagon for the annual Talent Show for Children in Need. The Sixth Form charity representatives Amelia Sanders, Jordan Coleman, Mya Roberts and Muryum Bibi were our hosts for this afternoon of entertainment.

Girls from across the school put on a thrilling show which included a range of singing and dancing. The judges, Dr Weeks, Mr Smith, Mr James and Miss Wood had a tough time deciding on the winners but they eventually came to their decision. First place was awarded to Isabella Birch in Year 7 (who received a standing ovation for the first time in talent show history!) for her beautifully choreographed dance to Ed Sheeran’s ‘A Team’. Second place went to a group of anonymous Year 12 dancers and third place went to the singing sisters Davina and Indira Jagpal in Year 7.

Overall, the event was a great success and we managed to raise a fantastic £438.98 for Children in Need.

Thanks go to everyone who auditioned, the judges, the tech team and, of course, all of our fantastic finalists.
