Year 6 Thespians Star in Production

10 July 2015

The Octagon was transformed into Sherwood Forest last week when our Year 6 girls performed 'Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies'.

The production gave a modern twist on the age old tale of Robin Hood. The villagers were fed up of paying taxes and needed help to deal with evil King John and the Sheriff of Nottingham. By mistake Maid Marion hired a band of entertainers who were assisted by Nursie's Skunk Scouts.

Although they made a few mistakes along the way the merry men and their helpers managed to overcome the King and the Sheriff was fed into the Squisher, a medieval form of torture.

The girls worked very well together to give a number of polished performances. They sang with gusto, acted with aplomb and told many jokes which made the various audiences groan with laughter. Their enjoyment shone through each time they performed.

Miss Robinson and Mrs Howell, the directors of the show, were very proud of the girls. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the production which was truly a team effort.
