GCSE Results 2012

We are delighted to announce another strong set of GCSE results this year with a pass rate of 97.5%. 24% of the cohort achieved ten or more A*/A grades and 29% of the cohort achieved nine or more A*/A grades.

Particular mention must go to Charlotte Rothnie who is celebrating a fantastic set of results, achieving 10 A* grades. She was also one of 11 girls who took Thinking and Reasoning Skills, for which Charlotte, aiong with three others, achieved a Distinction. All seven of the girls remaining achieved Merits.

Year 11 student Florence Lawton, who juggles full time education with running a successful enterprise selling hand-made items, was delighted with the excellent GCSE results that will stand her in good stead as she continues on the road to business success.

Having completed their GSCE examinations, students will go on to complete their education at Edgbaston High's Sixth Form. AsEHS Sixth Formers they will be able to take advantage of the wide range of courses available, choosing from subjects ranging from Mathematics, Chemistry, English Literature and Classical Greek.

Headmistress Dr Weeks commented, "Against the back drop of last week's A and AS Level success, we are delighted that our students have achieved this fantastic set of GCSE results which demonstrate their hard work and commitment to their studies."
