Egyptology Club Sparks Creativity
01 March 2024
Throughout your daughter’s time with us, we actively encourage her to get involved in as many activities as possible outside the classroom. In Miss Thaper's Egyptology Club, young learners are immersed in the ancient world, recently crafting their own bracelets inspired by ancient Egyptian designs.
Jewellery held profound significance for the Egyptians, serving not only as adornment but also as symbols of luck, protection, and even curses.
They used lots of hues including blue, gold, brown, black, green and white as these were expensive and prized colours that were difficult to obtain in Egypt. The style of jewellery spanned from the Early Dynasty to the Late Dynasty.
All pupils are warmly invited to come and join the action every Thursday lunchtime!
