Switch Off Fortnight

Switch Off fortnight was marked in the Prep School in November with a competition for the girls to design new switch plate surrounds reminding people to switch off lights.
With over 120 entries we ran out of light switches in Prep so a number of Year 5 girls visited some of the offices in Senior School this week to share the important message. They felt very welcomed by Mrs Macro and other staff and were delighted to know that as many designs as possible will be admired across the whole school and prove useful in reducing our energy consumption and working towards a healthier planet.
The girls also enjoyed an impromptu tour of Senior School visiting Year 7 classrooms and seeing familiar faces. They were pleased to see Senior School ‘decorate a door’ competition progressing well. Another stop was at the Library where they marvelled at the Hogwarts themed decorations.
Jessica, Eliza S, Eliza M and Waris enjoyed their adventure and are keen to visit again which they will have chance to do next term with the rest of Year 5.
