Form Reps Lean into Leadership
19 January 2024
In a special assembly held this week, Senior School Form Representatives were presented with their badges. This assembly is an important milestone, giving public recognition to the pupils who embrace roles of responsibility, actively engage in community activities, and willingly accept leadership positions.
Ms Jones-Owen, opening the assembly, set the tone by sharing some inspirational quotes with the girls. When called, a steady stream of reps approached the stage to receive their badges and a handshake from Mrs Macro.
These pupils carry specific responsibilities aligned with their roles. Form Representatives are tasked with attending School Council meetings, managing general Form administration, and serving as role models by demonstrating exemplary behaviour. The Charity Representatives coordinate their form's charitable endeavours, contributing to the school's outreach in the broader community. Eco Representatives champion green initiatives within the school and participate in implementing and driving sustainability efforts. Meanwhile, the Food Representatives play a role in working with the school catering team to ensure that student voices are heard regarding school lunches and the tuck shop.

Ms Jones-Owen's choice to quote Henrik Ibsen's words at the beginning of the assembly, "A community is like a ship; everyone ought to be prepared to take the helm," was particularly fitting and we hope that this quote will serve as inspiration for the new representatives as they step into their roles with enthusiasm, ready to make their contributions to school life.
