Year 8 Build a Better Birmingham

This term Year 8 have been working hard on presentations for the Next Generation Awards. This is run by the Birmingham Civic Society and the scheme asks participants to come up with an initiative to improve the city in some way. Our girls rose to the challenge; they refined their ideas, worked out their costings and practised presentations during their PSHEE lessons. The best in the year presented to two judges last Friday from the Birmingham Civic Society and the judges were impressed with all seven presentations. From making Birmingham a greener space to feeding the hungry, our girls came up with a variety of ways to improve our city.
We are delighted that the Big Birmingham Sports Day team won our internal round and have been invited to the Next Generation Awards Semi Finals on Friday 7th July. Good luck
