Guidance
and Support

Guiding you towards university and work

Careers Education begins in our Senior School as part of the Personal Social Health and Economic Education (PSHEE) programme, and its importance grows in the Sixth Form. You’ll receive expert careers advice and support, with one-to-one careers interviews available throughout the year, helping you make informed choices. You can also use the facilities in the careers room to research courses and universities, and plan your future.

Our UCAS advisors help you apply for a place at your first choice of university, and guide you through the process. We also make sure you’re well prepared for any entrance tests and interviews – with mock interviews where needed. If you’re considering a gap year before university, we can provide advice and information on the most appropriate opportunities.

As well as gaining support from our own staff, you’ll benefit from the knowledge and experience of independent external advisors. Many of them give careers talks in school and online. Also, past EHS students often come back to talk to current pupils about their experiences at university and in their careers.
