A Musical Teatime Treat

We ended last week with a most enjoyable teatime concert from soloists in Years 3 and 4. For the first time for Prep girls this was held in the Hexagon which proved the perfect venue in the evening sunshine.

25 girls performed during the evening and we were treated to a wide range of music styles on a variety of instruments. These included performances on piano, clarinet, violin, cello, flute and voice.

These informal concerts help to build confidence in all of our musicians no matter what their level of experience is. We have seen this confidence grow in each term’s concert with many now taking a bow, acknowledging their accompanist and certainly enjoying the unstinting applause from the appreciative audience.

Well done to all of our young musicians as we look forward to the Year 5 and 6 girls performing next week.
