Celebration and success on A Level Results Day

18 August 2017

Edgbaston High School is pleased to announce this year's A Level results. At A Level the School's pass rate is 100%. 36% of all grades are at A*/A grade and 71% at A*/A/B. 11% of this year’s cohort achieved three or more A*/A grades.

Commenting Dr Ruth Weeks, Headmistress, said: "I am delighted for Year 13 as they collect their examination results. The girls have worked hard to gain excellent grades across a wide range of A Level subjects.”

"They have achieved these results whilst playing an active role in the music, sport, extracurricular and leadership opportunities that are so characteristic of life at EHS. They leave us as confident and independent young women, ready to make the most of the opportunities in the wider world. I warmly congratulate the girls for their efforts and the teaching staff for their hard work and dedication."

The excellent outcomes will enable our students to follow their chosen path. Amongst the many successes being celebrated this year we congratulate our leadership team on their achievements: Bethany Lucas (Head Girl), who has secured a place at Oxford University to study Theology, Beatrice Kessedjian (Deputy Head Girl) who will read French Studies at the University of London Institute, Paris, and Malala Yousafzai (Deputy Head Girl) who will go on to Oxford University to study PPE.

We are delighted to see the efforts and hard work of staff and girls rewarded. We wish all our girls the best of luck as they embark on life beyond EHS.
