EHS Library promotes World Book Day
04 March 2016
Dare to try something new is just what many Year 7 girls did on Thursday lunchtime in the Library. Thursday 3 March was World Book Day and the challenge to pupils in Key Stage Three was to try new fiction authors and fiction genres, with advice from Ms Jones Owen and Mrs Sansom, so that girls’ breadth of reading grows as they grow.
Reading support for girls at EHS is available in the Library every school day but special invitations and motivation from an inspiring World Book Day assembly, brought an encouraging response. EHS Library uses Pinterest (ALibrarian), Twitter (@Library_EHS) and Facebook accounts to promote reading ideas, contemporary authors and new publications. The range and quality of fiction for children and young adults has never been better.
