Prep Girls Make Waves at Finals
26 June 2015
On Saturday 20 June, a team of Year 5 and 6 swimmers headed to Ponds Forge pool in Sheffield for the English Schools Swimming Association Relay finals. This is a major event in the National Calendar and was attended by a huge number of schools and hundreds of swimmers.
All of the girls gave very good performances and finished in 12th place in the country.
Then, on Tuesday, Mrs Ash accompanied Swimming Captain Ellie Egan Williams, Olivia Grice, Taliya Murray, Charlotte Miller, Imogen Viney and Lowri Bevan to Abbots Bromley's
Annual Prep Swimming Competition.
There were eight teams in the Under 11 competition and four teams in the Under 13's school heats. All Prep girls (Under 11) came 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their individual heats. We then went on to gain 1st place in both the medley and freestyle relays giving us an overall 1st place. So, once again, we returned with the shield, this being our fourth consecutive win! A well-deserved win!
These are both fabulous achievements and Mrs Ash is very proud of all the swimmers. A most successful way to end the season.
