Winning Cakes from the Year 9 Christmas Competition

15 January 2016

The last week of the Autumn Term saw the Year 9 annual Food and Nutrition Christmas Cake competition.  Our judges Dr Weeks and Mrs Coley had a difficult time deciding on the winners who were announced in the assembly on Wednesday 16 December.

First Prize went to Madeleine Howl who recreated the nativity scene on a simple white fondant icing. Nuha Alam came second with a holly wreath and red berries finished off with a delicate gold dusting. Third prize went to Laura Bryan who used the hand-cut words ‘Ho ho ho’ to circle two Christmas trees. Well done to all three girls!

The following girls were also recognised for their efforts: Amrit Gill, Emily Hurst, Francesca Fernando, Asha Dohpaktar and Hannah Foy.
