Head's End of Term Message

07 July 2017

We have reached the end of another busy and successful year at Edgbaston High School.

We have said a sad goodbye to our Year 13 leavers who have completed their A level examinations and are now looking towards what we hope will be a bright future. We look forward to celebrating their examination results with them in August.

Time never stands still at EHS and following the completion of the extension to the Preparatory School we will be starting work on an extension to the Senior School Hall this summer. The extension will provide much-needed dining space and a multipurpose room which we can use for functions, meetings, sports activities, etc.

The end of the school year was celebrated this week with a whole school picnic, complete with Maypole dancing, rounders and various ball games. Nursery pupils were happily entertained playing in the sand pit usually better known as the long jump. The picnic brings home to us all the very special nature of EHS where we all work together, laugh together and enjoy each other’s company. It is a very special school.

May I thank all parents and girls for their support this year. I look forward to see the girls back in school on Thursday 7 September.

With best wishes,

Dr Ruth Weeks
Headmistress
