Reading Zone Challenge for Year 7
16 June 2017
An exciting new competition will be launched for Year 7 girls next week. The Reading Zone Challenge is an initiative designed to enthuse students and challenge them to read widely from a range of different genres. Each girl will be given a reading list featuring books from a variety of ‘zones’, including fantasy and historical novels. Their challenge is to read as many of the titles as they can throughout the Summer holidays, completing the zones as they go. A short written task will be completed to verify that girls have read and digested the texts and certificates will be presented next term.
As suggested in the fantastic posters and promotional artwork created by Mr James in the Art department, the texts range from new titles to much loved classics and vary in levels of challenge so that all girls will find something to enjoy. What better way to spend those long Summer days than to get lost in the world of books!
