Old Girls' Association
Join us for Carols and Canapés
08 November 2018
Now that the Christmas Countdown is on, the Old Girls’ Association are looking forward once again to our annual choral event, ‘Carols and Canapés’ on Sunday 16 December. Whether you wish to join Old Girl Aimée Presswood's choir for the day's 'scratch' rehearsal and final performance or simply wish to join the audience, this musical treat is a fantastic way to kick off the festive season.
You and your family are warmly invited to share in this evening of Christmas music, traditional readings and good company. Fittingly festive refreshments, including mince pies and mulled wine, will be served at this free of charge event held on Sunday 16 December 2018 from 5.45 - 7.30pm in the Senior School Hall.
Calling all singers! - Music will be led by classical musician and Old Girl Aimée Presswood who is working to put together a choir of Old Girls. The choir will meet on the morning of the event to begin the day's informal ‘scratch’ rehearsals of well-known, traditional songs. In past years we have been delighted to welcome a wide range of former pupils old and young at this special event, and are always enthusiastic about new members! We are hoping to include as many singers as possible this year so if you would like to be involved in the choir’s Christmas performance, please contact Aimée directly at email@example.com
Of course, we shall also need an audience! - If you would prefer to enjoy this wonderfully festive occasion as a member of the audience, we would be pleased to hear from you now - Old Girls, their family and friends are all very welcome. The event is free of charge but, to help with catering, do email firstname.lastname@example.org now to reserve your spaces.
We hope to see you there! Please spread the word - tag your friends in our event on the OGA Facebook page https://bit.ly/2Nfmt8T .
