Teaching Roles
Teacher of Spanish - closing date 9am on Thursday 15th - to start in September
Modern languages are a vital component of a school curriculum, offering the students a comprehensive series of valuable experiences which cover many areas of learning both in and beyond the curriculum, as well as many cross-curricular links. We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Spanish who is fluent in both Spanish and English.
This is a permanent, part-time position (0.6 to 0.8 depending on timetables). A full job description and person specification can be found in the Information Pack.
Teacher of Classics/Latin - closing date 9am on Thursday 15th - to start in September
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher who is passionate about Classics and who recognises the pivotal role classical study plays in fostering intellectual and cultural development in all pupils. The successful candidate should have a dynamic approach to Classics teaching through lessons which spark curiosity and critical thinking.
This is a permanent, part-time position (0.5). A full job description and person specification can be found in the Information Pack.
Interviews for both positions - week commencing Monday 19th May
Successful candidates will be invited to a formal interview and will be asked to teach a prepared lesson. There will also be an opportunity to tour the School on the day.

Interested in training to be a teacher?
EHS is a member of the King Edward’s Consortium (KEC), a group of 23 schools in the Birmingham and Solihull areas who work together to train graduate secondary-school teachers. The group is the number-one school-centred initial teacher training (SCITT) provider in the country (The Good Teacher Training Guide, 2017).
If you become a KEC trainee, you’ll be in school from day one, and treated as a member of staff. As well as teaching your subject, you’ll be a form tutor and contribute to wider school life. For five weeks at the start of the spring term, you’ll also have a second, shorter placement in a contrasting school. Find out more. KEC website
