Preparing for the next stage

We are proud of our reputation of providing challenge in a caring, supportive environment. Our unique approach gets the very best out of all pupils, ensuring progression towards their goals and encouraging them to fulfil their potential.

As the transfer to secondary school approaches, parents and their daughters are invited to a range of special meetings and events designed to assist in their decision-making, and to help you explore the opportunities available to your daughter.

Beginning in Year 4, alongside the curriculum, time is dedicated to preparing the children for the transition to secondary school: attending lessons in our Senior School, exam practice and Non Verbal and Verbal Reasoning practice all help to prepare children for the next stage of their education.

Girls in Year 6 perform exceedingly well and we have an excellent track record in guiding girls to the senior school of their choice - both maintained and independent. They also perform consistently well against national standards in English, Maths and extracurricular activities and have impressive results: last year an impressive 98% of girls achieved either a Distinction or Merit in their London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) examinations. Recently we were delighted to congratulate girls in Year 6 who won the national Aspire to Engineer competition for their project on Genetic Engineering.

Supported every step of the way, you can be assured that your daughter is stretched, challenged and encouraged along the pathway to success.
