STEM Day for Year 10 girls

22 January 2016

On Wednesday 16 March, EHS is hosting a STEM event aimed at Year 10 girls from GSA schools.

The event will comprise a series of workshops and speeches from a variety of companies and academic faculties, with the aim of demonstrating the range of academic disciplines and careers available to young women interested in pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

The day will include an impressive array of guests, including Lord Robert Winston, who will be giving a speech on genetics, and our second keynote speaker, Dr Tilly Blyth, Lead Curator at the London Science Museum. There will also be a range of workshops throughout the day and a careers fair featuring leading universities and businesses geared towards a career in STEM.

We envisage that the event will run from 10am to approximately 3pm and we have places available for up to 500 students. For external pupils, tickets will cost £25. Letters will be sent to parents in due course.
