Another Year of A Level Success

Edgbaston High School is celebrating another year of exceptional A Level results, with 44 % of examinations passed at grade A*/ A.

The School’s overall pass rate is 99.4 %. 5 % of the cohort achieved three or more A* grades. 21 % achieved grades at either A* or A. 75 % of papers were passed at grades A*, A or B.

Our Year 13 leavers will go on to study a diverse range of degree courses including Medicine, Economics, History, Modern Languages, Graphic Art, Engineering, Classics and Music at some of the UK’s leading universities including York, Cambridge, Durham, Bath and Exeter.

Commenting, Dr Ruth Weeks, Headmistress, said: "We are delighted to announce this year’s success and I warmly congratulate our students on their results. The girls have worked extremely hard to gain excellent grades across a wide range of subjects, achieving these impressive results while playing an active role in the music, sport, extracurricular and leadership opportunities that are so characteristic of life at EHS.

Our congratulations also go to the families who have supported the girls through their studies and to our dedicated staff for helping the girls achieve their full potential.”
