Cookies
Policy

We use cookies and similar tools across our website to improve performance and enhance your user experience. This policy explains how we do that.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user's device, navigate between pages efficiently, remember your preferences, and generally improve the user experience.

There are three types of cookie used on the Edgbaston High site:

  • Google Analytics Cookie: This cookie is used to anonymously track visitor behaviour such as the number of times a page is visited or the number and type of searches carried out via the search function. This information  helps us to understand how the website is used.
  • Visitor ID Cookie: The website's host company, Redwing, use this to anonymously track visitors' progress through the website, to help them locate and rectify any errors in the website operation.
  • Session Cookie: This type of cookie is in place on the EHS website, and only used by visitors accessing any password-protected pages that may be set up on the site.
