We hope you’ll want to find out about applying for your child to join us – this section has all the information you need to get started.

Most of our girls join us in Nursery, at Reception, aged 4, in Year 3, or at the start of our Senior School or Sixth Form. If those options aren’t suitable for your daughter, there are other times when she might be able to join us.

Admissions Process

Entry into Edgbaston High School is by assessment. The main entry points are the start of Nursery,  Prep School (Reception), Senior School (Year 7) and Sixth Form (Year 12), although as families may relocate in and out of the area for work reasons, we do have vacancies in other years. 

Making a formal registration for your daughter will require you to set up a unique logon to our Admissions Portal. From our Admissions Portal you will be able to book open events, make applications (including scholarship applications), complete important forms, track your applications progress and communicate with us directly. We hope this will make your family's journey through our admissions process as simple and convenient as possible. Please make sure you make a note of the email address and password for future use.

2024 Entry

We are now inviting applications for Pre-Prep, Prep and the Sixth Form. The closing date for Year 7 entry in 2024 has now passed.

2025 Entry for Year 7

Registration is now open for Year 7 2025 applications.

Open Events

We hold a number of open events throughout the year during our Autumn, Spring and Summer Terms and strongly encourage families to visit the school before they make an application for their daughter - please visit our Open Day page for more information on our forthcoming events.

Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship

Please note that we are able to sponsor a small number of pupils to study at Edgbaston High School on a Tier 4 Student VISA however, we require students to be living in the UK with a parent.
