Birmingham Children of War exhibition
10 March 2017
Ever wondered what it might have been like as a child living through the First World War? The Friends of Birmingham Archives and Heritage has been exploring the lives of children and young people in Birmingham during the 1914-18 War. Volunteers will share their findings on themes such as education, health, youth justice, scouts and other uniformed organisations at an event on Saturday 11 March at Library of Birmingham.
This event will take place between 1.30 - 4.30pm and is suitable for the whole family. There will be archive material on display and mini-talks in the Wolfson Centre; a children’s trail starting from the Children’s Library, live music and craft activities. Admission is free and there is no need to book.
