British Science Week

20 April 2018

Science is very popular with the girls in Prep and they enjoy a wide range of experiences during the year.  There is always a buzz of excitement when the Science Monitors launch the British Science Week competition each Spring.  This year was no exception and Mrs Eveleigh was delighted by the standard of the posters she received.

All girls from Years 1 – 6 were invited to enter and the topics included the Solar System, bacteria, famous scientists, nature, inventions, ears to name but a few.

Before the posters were submitted to the National competition they were judged internally at school and first, second and third prizes were awarded in each year group.  We congratulate all girls for their efforts.

Well done to:
Mya, Ava and Grace in Year 1
Imogen, Agatha and Sumayyah in Year 2
Ruth, Ellie and Isla in Year 3
Anna, Renia and Aisha in Year 4
Amaria, Riya and Sophia in Year 5
Rosie, Siyona and Fatma in Year 6

Our overall school winner was Marlah for her poster detailing the journey of a sandwich.  Well done!

We are all now looking forward to our Space Day in June.
