Celebrating Student Voices
31 January 2025
Two of our talented Year 11 students, Hilary C. and Lana K., have recently contributed to Talk Education’s Pupil Editor feature. For last term's theme, pupils were invited to explore the theme “People Who Inspire Me”, allowing them to express their admiration for individuals who have had a profound impact on their lives.
Hilary chose to write about renowned violinist Takako Nishizaki, one of the most recorded classical violinists of all time. Through her piece, Hilary explores Nishizaki’s remarkable career, musical brilliance, and the dedication that has made her an inspiration to aspiring musicians worldwide. Read Hilary’s article here: Talk Education – Hilary C.
Meanwhile, Lana turned to the world of visual arts, writing about Emma Zorn, the celebrated Swedish artist known for her evocative portraits and mastery of light and movement. In her article, Lana delves into Zorn’s artistic legacy, highlighting the ways in which his work continues to influence and inspire creatives today. Read Lana’s article here: Talk Education – Lana K.
We are incredibly proud of Hilary and Lana for their insightful contributions and for representing EHS on such a respected platform. Their work showcases not only their individual passions but also the breadth of talent and curiosity nurtured within our school.
For any pupils interested in becoming a Pupil Editor for Talk Education, the opportunity remains open. The project is highly flexible, allowing students to submit their work in various formats, including written pieces, photography, or video. It’s a fantastic chance to develop research and storytelling skills while sharing personal inspirations with a wider audience. Please get in touch with Mrs Cove in the Marketing and Admissions office (G28) if you are interested in taking part.
