Save the Date: Bright Young Things Performance

Senior School

15 November 2024

The EHS Drama Department is delighted to present its latest production: Bright. Young. Things by Georgia Christou, performed by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.

Our talented students from Years 9 to 11 have been working tirelessly to stage this humorous play. The story captures the struggles of a group of young people navigating the intense pressures to succeed.

A Peek into the Plot

The play centres on a reality television show, where six remarkable - and remarkably young - geniuses are competing for the coveted Golden Brain trophy and the title of ‘Britain’s Brainiest Child.’ As they battle it out round after round, the pressure mounts, the spotlight gets harsher, and each contestant is faced with questions they never expected. Who will win and who will lose – and what exactly does winning mean anyway?
