SIX: Teen Edition – A Spectacular Finale at EHS

Last night marked the grand finale of an incredible run of over six performances of SIX: Teen Edition in the Octagon. Bringing the curtain down in style were Year 10, 12, and 13 students, but throughout the run of shows, talented performers from Years 8-13 took to the stage, showcasing their remarkable talents in this dazzling adaptation.
With six phenomenal casts in total, this production was a groundbreaking moment for EHS. Never before had so many students been given leading roles, nor had so many been involved across all areas of the show. For the girls, this was truly an opportunity of a lifetime—an experience that will stay with them forever.

Following the final performance, Headmistress Mrs. Macro took to the stage, declaring that she was the proudest person in the audience—no, in the school, in Birmingham, the West Midlands, the UK… GLOBAL! She reaffirmed her belief that EHS is, without a doubt, the best school ever.

In a memorable moment, Mr. Skillbeck was invited on stage alongside cast members and crew who played a part in bringing this spectacular show to life. Mrs. Macro emphasised that the production could not have been possible without the dedication of every single person involved—tech crews, makeup artists, costume designers, cast members, musicians, and so many more. When she originally called for a production that would celebrate girls and their power, this show exceeded all expectations, proving just how much girls truly rule.

Beyond the outstanding performances, the show also raised a fantastic amount in donations, for which the school is incredibly grateful. The funds will be split between supporting the costs of this and future productions, with a portion also going to the Pam Jelf Fund.

For our Year 12 and 13 students, this may have been their final major stage production at EHS, and what a send-off it was! But, in the words of Mrs. Macro, she always has a plan—so rest assured, there will be plenty more opportunities to see our talented students shine on stage again soon.
