Space Careers

01 July 2016

On the 14 June, 15 enthusiastic Year 10 girls were given the opportunity to attend a Space Careers Conference, run by the National Space Academy. We found out about the breadth of careers in the UK’s space sector from people working in the sector themselves. The representatives present were involved in everything from building spacecraft, to using satellite data, to improve life on Earth.

We were able to speak directly to Scientists and Engineers and we took part in hands-on workshops.

The event took place at the Flight School at Birmingham Airport, an inspirational venue overlooking the main airport runways.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would like to thank the teachers involved for giving us this insightful and educational opportunity.
