A Fun-Filled First Swimming Lesson

Preparatory

24 January 2025

Our Nursery children had an unforgettable first swimming lesson! Excitement filled the air as they eagerly walked to the pool and changed into their swimwear. Once ready, they donned their mermaid floats and prepared for a splashing good time. The girls paired up in twos with an adult, ready to embark on an aquatic adventure.

Following the friendly octopus, they formed a wiggly train, holding on to the ends of each other’s woggles and enthusiastically shouting, "Choo Choo!" Their giggles echoed as they splashed through the water, enjoying the game of Ring-a-Ring o’ Roses. With huge smiles, they blew bubbles every time they “all fell down.”

Kindergarten girls also joined the fun during their first swimming lesson of the year! They were excited to explore the new toys purchased by Mrs Hayward! It was lovely to see them confidently entering the pool and listening carefully to instructions. The girls were able to take their very own octopus on a journey to explore the swimming pool! They showed off their ability to swim both on their tummies and their backs!

The girls have had a wonderful start to their swimming journey and we cannot wait to see their confidence grow with each lesson!
