EHS Netball: Lifting Each Other Up On and Off Court

Senior School | Sixth Form

04 April 2025

At EHS, netball isn’t just a sport - it’s a thriving community built on teamwork, encouragement, and a shared passion for the game. It’s this very spirit that has helped propel Miss Masterson, one of our dedicated teachers, to new heights in the world of netball coaching.

As head coach of the Birmingham Panthers NXT Gen netball team and guest coach for the semi-professional Birmingham Panthers Netball Super League team, Miss Masterson is making waves in the sport. Working alongside head coach Jo Trip and assistant coach Connie Francis, she is shaping the next generation of netball talent. But while she spends her time lifting others up, could it be that our very own EHS netballers have helped lift her along the way?

With their enthusiasm, energy, and drive, the girls at EHS have no doubt played their part in Miss Masterson’s success. Whether it’s pushing themselves in training, embracing new techniques, or simply bringing their love of the game to every session, they embody the same dedication that Miss Masterson now takes to the elite level.

This season, netball fans can see her coaching in action as the Birmingham Panthers play against the London Mavericks. The game will be streamed live on BBC iPlayer on Sunday 6 April. It’s a fantastic opportunity to watch one of our own in action—just as she does for our girls every day.

At EHS, netball is more than just a game; it’s a community where success is shared, and everyone lifts each other up.
