Festive Tunes from the Prep Guitar Ensemble
13 December 2024
The festive season truly began at EHS with the Prep Guitar Ensemble's delightful Christmas Assembly. Held in the Octagon, the ensemble performed a wonderful selection of Christmas music, bringing joy to the entire Prep and Pre-Prep departments.
Led by Mrs. Liz Larner, our talented guitar teacher and visiting music specialist, the annual assembly is a much-loved tradition. The students’ performances were a testament to their hard work and musical dedication, filling the room with festive cheer and reminding us all of the magic of the season.
This year’s event held special significance for the Year 6 girls, as it marked their final performance as part of the Prep School ensemble. Their confident playing and warm sense of camaraderie were highlights of the event, leaving a lasting impression on their younger peers.
We are excited to see these students continue their musical journeys as they move on to the Senior School, where we hope they will form the foundation of a Senior Guitar Group. Their talent and enthusiasm promise a bright future for the music department.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Larner for her inspiring leadership and to all the students for their wonderful performances. This assembly truly feels like the official start of Christmas in the Music School, and we are proud of what our young musicians have achieved.
