Wearing It Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Preparatory | Senior School | Sixth Form

08 November 2024

On Friday, 18 October, pupils and staff across the whole school community showed up in their best pink attire to mark 'Wear it Pink' day, in honour of Breast Cancer Now! This charity seeks to support research on breast cancer but also support families and individuals going through cancer.

For senior school staff, there was also the additional treat of a “fake it or bake it” cake sale in the Learning Hub. Staff produced some amazing cakes (one even involved homemade butter!) and treats.

A massive thank you goes out from the Charities Team, as a total of £515.58 was raised for Breast Cancer Now, including a generous £63 from the staff cake sale.

In addition £496.98 was raised for our last charity event, Jeans for Genes day. Next up, we have our Royal British Legion fundraising for Remembrance Day, followed by our talent show for Children in Need. Thank you all for your continued generosity!
