Why We Love Netball at EHS
11 October 2024
Over the last few years, our successful netball teams have brought so much pride to the EHS sport community and beyond. In this video, we hear from Head of Netball, Miss Masterson and the girls about why they love Netball at EHS.
But what’s been going on?
The 2024-25 netball season is in full swing at EHS. We have already competed in multiple cup fixtures for our U13 and U15 age groups and are unbeaten in both age groups in the Sisters in Sport national cup and the School Sports Magazine National Cup. Other age groups have been busy playing in fixtures for the Kings Norton league and we've had over 100 girls training each week in September despite the weather trying to put us off!
Along with the school Netball teams thriving, we also have multiple individual achievements from our players over the past few weeks. We have girls in KS3 and KS4 involved in both Birmingham County, South Staffordshire County and Birmingham Panthers pathways, the first step toward performance netball. And just this week Anaiya Plaha and Isla Batchelor in Year 10 have both been selected into the U17 NPL squad at Nottingham Forest, this is a phenomenal achievement and one we as a school are so proud of.
