We are thrilled to announce that Ceana in Year 6 has been selected to train with West Bromwich Albion’s Girls’ team! After taking part in a rigorous selection process, Ceana has already begun her weekly training sessions and is making a strong impression on the field.

Ceana’s selection followed a challenging trial process, which she embraced with determination. "I’m very proud of myself. I worked really hard for this! It was a difficult process because I had to do a trial," Ceana shared. Her commitment to the sport has paid off, and she is excited to continue developing her skills with the team.

A natural striker, Ceana has scored an impressive 8 goals in her last 7 games. "I like the competition and being part of a team," she said. "I love celebrating with my teammates when we win." Ceana’s passion for the game shines through, and her love for football goes beyond the pitch. She also supports West Bromwich Albion and was thrilled to receive tickets to both a men’s and women’s game as part of her selection.

Despite her busy training schedule, Ceana remains focused on her schoolwork. Though she hasn’t had much time for school football due to her external commitments, she hopes to see more opportunities for football at EHS in the future.

When asked who inspires her, Ceana named Cristiano Ronaldo. "He has won many things and just keeps going. He is a very good footballer."

Her advice to other girls? "Never give up. You can always do it, so believe in yourself!"

We wish Ceana the best of luck as she continues her exciting football journey!
