Year 9 Explores Regeneration Impact in Edgbaston Village
07 March 2025
Year 9 students recently embarked on a field trip to Edgbaston Village to investigate the impact of regeneration in the area.
During their visit, students conducted environmental assessments, building quality surveys, and land use studies. They also had the valuable opportunity to interview local business owners, gaining firsthand insight into the effects of regeneration on the community.
Students spoke with Ann from Chapter Restaurant, who shared how the regeneration of Edgbaston Village played a key role in her decision to open her business there. They also met with Owen from Lux Galleries, who highlighted the supportive nature of the local business network and how it contributes to the area's thriving atmosphere.
Back at school, students analysed their findings and concluded that the regeneration of Edgbaston Village has been a success, transforming it into a vibrant and up-and-coming destination.
Thank you to both Ann and Owen for giving up their time to speak to us.
