7J debate the future of Antarctica
15 December 2017
During the Autumn Term, Year 7 geographers have been studying Antarctica, learning about its location, discovery and fragile nature of its eco-system.
The culmination of the term’s activities was a debate about the future of the Antarctic. The girls split into a variety of opinion groups including fisher people, scientists, tourists, countries in need of oil and environmentalists before researching and presenting their ideas to the class. As you can see from the photographs 7J were extremely inventive and came dressed in a variety of costumes in preparation for their debate!
