Amy competes in World Championships

Sixth Form

13 December 2019

Winning the Junior British Championships in late September secured Amy a place at the World Junior TRA, TUM, DMT Championships in Tokyo which ran from the 5 – 8 December.

At 16, Amy was the youngest competitor in her age group, which goes up to 21 years of age.  Qualification on the first day of the competition saw Amy complete two solid passes that secured her a place in the final that evening.  During the final, Amy attempted an audacious double transition which had the highest tariff in her group (6.8).  She completed the pass with skill and determination, landing on her feet but stepping forward onto the track.

We are delighted to see Amy finally finish in 4th place, narrowly missing out on a medal position. This means that Amy ranks fourth in the world! This is an absolutely incredible achievement. Congratulations Amy, EHS is very proud of you!
