Barrister coaches Mock Trial Team

On Tuesday afternoon, the EHS Mock Trials Team were treated to a workshop from Barrister Eliza Sharron of Kings Chambers. Eliza provided a workshop on how best to cross examine witnesses; the differences between 'open' and 'closed' questions; and general public speaking skills.
The girls are preparing for the Birmingham heat of the Independent Schools Mock Trials Competition which takes place on Saturday 25 January. The team consists of 15 students from Years 11 and 12, each of whom are hoping to continue our track record of success in the competition.
Saihaj Boora of Year 11 said of the event: 'I'm really excited to be playing the role of barrister and I found Ms Sharron's advice to be really interesting and helpful.'
