Debate Marks Commonwealth and Culture Day

On Monday, the Senior School held a Commonwealth and Culture Day, a series of events to mark the run up to the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
The day began with a lively and thought-provoking Commonwealth Debate. Pupils watched via live video link as students from Years 10 - 12 put forward the case For and Against
the Commonwealth to demonstrate both points of view, with each side delivering compelling arguments.
Girls were required to call upon their creativity to take part in the next activity, designing digital collages to help them learn more about the member nations.
The day was brought to a close with a live video talk from not one, but two, GB athletes Kelly Sotherton and Tom Parsons, who spoke about their involvement in the run up to
the #2022CommonwealthGames
